[He laughs at that. It's a short, nasal sound, but a laugh all the same. That's one way to set a mood. Damn if he doesn't adore it, though. He adores her. As soon as they're inside the bedroom, stumbling their way towards the bed itself, his hands are already going up underneath her shirt to feel bare skin.
He's been a perfect gentleman for all these months, but it's been a while and he's just about itching with the desire to get as close to Layla as possible.]
[Layla knows he's been such a gentleman and honestly, she was done waiting a while ago, but it didn't feel right yet, like she was jumping into a pool before she was even in her swimsuit. So she followed her instincts and trusted to wait til it felt right for the both of them and their relationship.

[Marc continues to be a gentleman throughout it all, because even with his desire overwhelming him, he's aware that this is a two-way street. And Layla's the one who deserves to be showered with good feelings; strokes and rubs and nibbles in all the right places. (Or maybe it's the wrong places. He can't feel what Layla's feeling, so it's mostly guess work, but he thinks he's doing alright.) His own pleasure comes second.
He doesn't know how much time has passed by the time they're both lying flat on their backs, basking in afterglow. It could've been thirty minutes, it could've been four hours. He feels like he ran a marathon, anyway, his heart still hammering in his throat. His head comes to rest sideways against her shoulder, and his hand seeks out her own beneath the blanket.]

She feels pampered and it just stokes the fire in her to want to pamper him back, to touch and stroke him just right, to kiss and breathe in. When it's all said and done, she holds his hand, tilting her head to rest against his own, a smile coming to her lips. She feels out of breath and perfectly sated. It feels right and she's glad to be here with him.]
[All in all, Marc's just happy she let him back into her life after the several ways in which he betrayed her trust. Part of him still thinks she should've kicked him to the curb, because he'd deserve that treatment, but... It's not about what he deserves. It's about what she wants, and doing his best to make that happen. Anything she needs, he'll provide, 'dwarf tossing' included.]

[Because there would be a next time, she wanted to have a good relationship with Marc, she wanted to marry this man again. As much as he's been a heartache in many ways, he loves him... reaching over to cup his face, she leans in for a kiss, smiling into it.]
[And he returns the gesture in full, his own right hand moving to her neck so his fingertips can stroke along the top of her spine. It's the sort of physical closeness he wouldn't want with anyone else. (barring fuck lightning, but fuck lightning is an outlier and should not be counted.) Once the kiss has lingered long enough, he backs out of it just enough to speak.]
Does next time mean I'm gonna have to secure the Hobbit house again sometime? Maybe make it a monthly thing?
